Changing Schedule Items
Inline Schedule Item Editing
The response redesign in SERFF 5.6 introduces the concept of inline schedule item editing. Rather than starting with the Response Letter, the user will start by making their schedule item changes directly on the schedules. Revisions and additions can be made to the Form, Rate/Rule, and Supporting Documentation schedules. Please note that on the Rate/Rule schedule, only schedule item data may be added or revised. The rate data is not currently revisable and may not be added if omitted on the original submission.
To begin the process of adding and revising schedule items, click the "Change Schedule Items" button near the top of the filing. The filing will be put into "Revise" mode. The three schedule item tabs and the Correspondence tab will be displayed. The schedule item tabs are the only areas that may be changed during this process.
From here, the user may make additions or revisions. Note: It is recommended that all schedule items changes be made before creating the Response Letter.
Adding and Revising Schedule Items
If you are making a change to something you have already submitted, you will want to revise that item. Click the "Revise" button next to the item you wish to change. SERFF will create a copy of that item to which you can make your changes. If an attachment is changing, be sure to remove the old version by clicking the remove link next to the attachment name. You may then add the new version of the attachment. If a schedule item has multiple attachments, only remove and replace the ones that are changing.
If you are sending something not included with the original submission, you will want to add a schedule item. Click the "Add Schedule Item(s)" button near the bottom of the page on the schedule tab to which the item should be added. SERFF will provide a blank line for you to complete. Be sure to upload any attachments that belong with this new schedule item. Note that on the Supporting Document schedule, the button says "Add Supporting Document."
Other Tips
- Try to make all schedule item revisions and additions before creating a Response Letter.
- Schedule items can be revised even if they do not have an Objection from a state.
- If you've revised or added a schedule item, then wish to discard those changes, click the "Undo Draft" button. This may be done as long as the changes are in a draft status. Once submitted to the state, the changes are a permanent part of the filing.
- Use the Apply button to save changes as you go. Hit Save when you are done to exit Revise mode.
- If the schedule item has an Objection icon, the icon will not disappear until the Response Letter is submitted.
