What is found in My Binders?

Under the My Binders link on the Plan Management tab, a user will find a listing of all the open Binders that have been created on a given industry instance. Each column displayed is sortable.

What is found in Create Binder?

Under the Create Binder link on the Plan Management tab, a user will be directed to the Binder Wizard and initiate the Binder creation process. For additional information regarding this process, please click here to review the Binder Wizard FAQs.

Why isn't my company appearing in the Binder Wizard?

Only companies with a HIOS Issuer ID configured for the state you have chosen in the Binder Wizard will display in this list. If a company is not displaying in this list and it should, navigate to the company maintenance screen and populate the HIOS Issuer ID with the correct value.

What is found in Plan Management General Instructions?

Plan Management General Instructions provides a listing of all the states utilizing Plan Management. By clicking on a specific state, a user will be directed to the respective General Instructions page. Industry users should review Plan Management General Instructions for state specific submission instructions prior to submitting any Binders.

What has changed in the EFT Report?

The link to generate the EFT report is found on the Filings and Plan Management tab. The EFT report will now include all EFT Plan Management transactions.

Note: The summary report does not indicate the type of SERFF transaction.

What has changed in Simple Search?

In addition to SERFF, State, and Company Tracking Number, Simple Search allows the user to search by the following:

  • Binder Tracking Number
  • State Binder Tracking Number
  • Company Binder Tracking Number
  • To initiate a Binder Tracking Number search, enter the corresponding tracking number and press 'Enter'. To initiate State or Company Binder Tracking Number search, enter the corresponding tracking number, click 'Search', and select the appropriate search selection from the displayed drop-down menu.

    What has changed in Message Settings?

    Activity messages related to Binders have been added to Message Settings. Users may indicate any type of SERFF messages they wish to receive.
